Plans submitted for new 70 acre business park near Ipswich
Churchmanor Estates have submitted an outline planning application for a new Business Park of approximately 70 acres on a site to the southeast of junction 58 of the A14, at the Seven Hills interchange of the A12 and A14 in Ipswich. The scheme will be known as Seven Hills Business Park.
The site is allocated in the 2020 East Suffolk Local Plan, and the planning application has been made following 5 years of engagement with the Local Authority, surrounding Parish Councils, and local stakeholders.
The proposed scheme is for a high-quality landscaped business park, allowing for a total of about 88,000 sqm of offices, industrial and warehouse uses, along with park facilities to support the development, a new junction on Felixstowe Road, and improvements to public transport, cycling, and pedestrian facilities. Churchmanor has a strong track record with developments in the region including Colchester Business Park, Chelmsford Business Park and Suffolk Business Park.
The masterplan for the development creates a sustainable new business park destination enhancing and developing the existing tree belts and perimeter landscaping to increase biodiversity. Green infrastructure and spaces are to be provided throughout the Business Park alongside carefully designed buildings in a range of sizes to create an exceptionally high quality environment to serve both local, national, and international businesses.
