Help to Buy day at Hopkins’ seaside development
On Saturday July 27th between 10am and 2pm, Fenn Wright Associate Partner and New Homes Residential Manager Maria Montgomery will be among a team of people explaining the scheme to prospective purchasers, and showing off the few remaining available properties at The Martellos.
These are just eight one and two bedroom apartments with guide prices starting at £109,995, and six houses starting at £269,995. The apartments have car parking spaces and attractively landscaped gardens, while the houses have garages as well as additional parking space.
Maria explained that the Help to Buy scheme is available to anyone, not just first time buyers, purchasing a brand new house up to the value of £600,000.
“The purchaser is required to find a 5% deposit, but then the Government lends 20% with no loan fees for the first five years, leaving a mortgage of 75% to be found and funded,”s he said. “When the property is sold on, the Government will receive 20% of the sale value, unless the loan is repaid sooner.
“Experts will be on hand on Saturday to answer all questions in detail, and there will also be mortgage advisors to assist with finding the remaining funds.”
She added that the Felixstowe development is proving popular with buyers from all age groups, from first time purchasers to retirees down-sizing.
“Out of the 54 units available for sale 74% are either sold or under offer. There are only five in total still remaining to be released.
Their popularity is obviously due to the high quality of build and finish, and also the location, close to both the sea and the town centre. Felixstowe is a really vibrant coastal town with all sorts of activities to take part in and a fantastic market on the sea front on a Sunday. The beach is among the best stretches of sand in Suffolk, and golfers travel miles to play on the links course at Felixstowe Ferry. There’s something here to appeal to all age groups,” she concluded.
