Why wait to see who’s moving in?
“So far, all indicators point to a balanced market this year. Following a slow start in the first half of January, it’s business as usual now.
“With the promise of spring in the air, we are pleased to be bringing a steady stream of new properties to the market and agreeing the sales of existing instructions in healthy numbers.
“Over the past few years there have been several different, and dynamic, external factors driving the market – either fiercely fuelling demand or putting the frighteners on would-be home-movers! But this year we’re feeling a bit different about things.
“I wouldn’t suggest that people may start making long-term decisions about home ownership with no consideration for the political or economic influences at play, but we feel these things may affect the mood less significantly this year. We’re hoping everyone can concentrate on – and enjoy – a traditional spring market, where those deciding that 2015 is the year for a move, will have no qualms about taking the plunge.
“But what about the election? Well, only time will tell, but we’re certainly not anticipating a slow-down in the pre-election months. With other favourable economic factors at work, a good weather forecast for March, and an early Easter, things are looking good!
“2015 really could be the year where people are guided more by their own life decisions and are less inclined to wait around to see who gets the keys to number 10.”
